First semester of freshman year Martin and I were in the same gym class. While I was sort of withdrawn and overwhelmed by the new faces, martin wasn't at all. He did Michael Jackson impressions and grabbed his crotch like it was going out of style. I remember thinking to myself, "Who the hell is this kid?" Ten years later and many martin memories later, I still ask myself that question. I am cautious about making statements about martin because I don't want to pigeonhole the enigma that is marty, so i'll leave it at this, marty, you're a good friend and you can always make me laugh when i need to.

is an eccentric character much like his
