During one of my "run really far away
and see if they'll follow" games, Mary
broke the record and actually won.
How, you may ask? Kielbasa. BBQ
grill. Bark!!
Out on the streets, that's where we'll
meet. You make the night, I always
cross the line. Tightened our belts,
abuse ourselves, get in our way, we'll
put you on your shelf. Another day,
some other way, we're gonna go but
then we'll see you again. I've had
enough, we've had enough. Cold in
vain, she said, "I knew right from the
beginning that you would end up
winnin'. I knew right from the start
you'd put an arrow through my heart."
Round and round, with love we'll find
a way just give it time. Round and
round - what comes around goes
around.
Hooray! I'm so happy Mary added me
to her friend list. Mary is VERY
selective in her choices of friends,
I'm glad I make the grade. I like to
imagine her coolness rubs off onto
me a little but I'm probably dreaming.
I'm also proud to say I own one of the
two copies of her first album "Donna
Parker" which is still in my regular
rotation.
i first met mary about 15 years ago when we
were both thoroughly enjoying our first jobs
as work tools for a lame woman's clothing
company. the reign of teenage terror that
followed is legendary - we WERE the two
girls that everyone's mother warned them
about! and as for those lame suburban girls
who's mothers wouldn't let them hang out
with us because we were bad influences,
assuring them that doing drugs, fooling
around with boys, and hitch hiking was
dangerous and wasn't going to make them
cool? i thumb my nose at thee, because you
are all married to the same dumbasses you
dated in highschool and working at the
grocery store, and mary and i are still the
cool kids! shouldn't have listened to your
moms... mary rools the school - glad i found
her again. :)
Mary is like fondue, very tasty,
capable of entertaining an intelligent
crowd, cheesy in a refined way and a
little bit bad for you if you overdo
it. Just don't poke her with one of
those little forks, 'cause she'll give
you a fat lip.
again? yeah, we all need mary.
she'd adopt me.

And she reminds me of my Godmother in a
really great way. Oh yeah. Mary. She's
awesome.
