Surfer Girl's Big Splash

Surfer Girl’s Big Splash event was all the rage on October 5th, from 7am to 10pm. All day long Halfway Beach, Kuta, was full of excitement and activity!

When first arriving at Halfway Beach, Surfer Girl’s bright colors bring the Big Splash venue to life. Starting in the early morning, the Big Splash All Girls Surf Competition began. All the contestants did their best and showed their skill at this high-profile comp.

On the sand there was fun for kid of all ages in Surfer Girls Carnival Game Zone. There was everything from a Slippery Slide to Horizontal Bungee, plus tons of cool prizes to be won. Surfer Girl’s own resident DJ Schumy kept the beats rolling throughout the day and kept the audience moving.

Towards sunset Gretha and band began the evening performance, followed by Jamaican Percussionists, a Surfer Girl Fashion show with Live Mannequins moving and dancing to the beats. To end the evening, Surfer Girl saved the most special show for last, NIDJI. The Jakarta rockers successfully pulled the audience to the stage where Nidji and fans danced and sang together until the very end.


Filled with fun! We left the beach with big smiles of excitement… but the party wasn’t over yet.

All of the Surfer Girl team, Nidji, Gretha and band, and all the following fans walked down the beach to Hard Rock Café for the Big Splash After Party… what a surprise! A rare opportunity for all the Nidjiholics to party together with their idols… there was lots photo snapping, laughing and dancing. Giring, lead singer of Nidji, was having a great time and said that he was thrilled to perform at Big Splash, especially because it was the first time Nidji has ever performed right on the beach. Hihihi… thanks Surfer Girl, for putting on this awesome show for all the Nidjiholics in Bali! Summer, Niki, Grinder and the gang danced right by the DJ booth as Schoomy heated up the evening.

So Big Splash ended filled with smiles and laughter. Thanks to all of you who came and made this super fun day possible. Can’t wait to see what Surfer Girl has in store for us next :) So stay tuned for the next Surfer Girl event!
