I want to explore life and do good. Run a marathon, start a notable business, learn the Chopin sonatas, cook something challenging, and hang out talking about nothing.

I grew up in Oklahoma City, moved to New Jersey for college, then followed my career to Bethesda/Chevy Chase, San Diego, and finally San Francisco. I will stay or move to New York someday.

I was an awkward kid, not very interested in people. When I finally joined the circle I found a shared alienation. Developing real connection, breaking down the barriers -- more like slipping through them -- is my new goal. I taught myself to look people in the eye, shake hands warmly, smile, walk like I belong, love, laugh, engage. Along the way were vast mistakes of judgment, loves that came too easily, but no regrets, only memories.

Q: If life is a safari where's my camera?
A: It's all in your head.

There are mountains, wine, music, strong cheese, literature, loyalty, comfort, and devotion. And yes there are zebras. All these things are love in another shape.

Shooting stars, misfit toys. Innocent subversives, girls of low morals and high principle, they burn not yawn. Real gone, incompletely drawn, but nobody who misses reality.

No time for reality whole, just a slice thank you.

I want you to pop big time, when it's your time just be you, you can say as many commonplace words as you want, it doesn't have to be a flame-out.

For a lover, one who is beautiful, passionate, timeless. Fearlesss, brilliant, strong, kind.
