he was handing out flyers about 8 years
ago. One minute he was asking me to
teach him how to snowboard (a.k.a.
trying to pick me up) and the next, I
was subletting the bedroom next to
his. Even though we never see each
other, Chad is still one my all-time
favorites. He is unpredictable, open-
minded, direct, smart, outgoing,
cunning, generous and accommodating to
those important to him, plus he's in
possession of a perfectly warped sense
of humor. Chad is an original.

something has gone wrong...my
electrical system on my car broke, my
atm card demagnetized, etc. but he's
such a sweetheart that he still talks
to me. i really regret that we never
got to hang out more in sf and that i
don't own any of his amazing music, but
i always have his amazing sets etched
in my temporal lobe.
