friend, and even though I don't really
see him very often, I still think he's

on a Damon Packard movie we were both
working on which was being shot at his
place and, while waiting around, I
entertained myself by flipping through
Shawn's great collection of movie books
and, my favorite of all, the now-out-of-
print first three issues of Jim Goad's
"Answer Me!" Later, Damon treated us
to burritos at a real-deal kind of
burrito place and Shawn kind of took me
aback with his knowledge of movies and
a few observations akin to my own. For
instance, most people have no idea what
I'm talking about when I say everything
in America's about keeping things safe
-- and I don't mean that in a 9/11
sense. Well, Shawn was saying it
before I was -- first time that's
happened. I guess that's becuase he's,
you know, half-Argentine, which is
right next door to being European.
Anyway, just today Shawn and I were
talking about Friendster and we agreed
short testimonials are best so I think
I'd better stop, otherwise you're not
going to even read this. Are you?

a very, very talented designer. I
guess living in Switzerland didn't go
to waste altogether. And one of these
days, maybe he'll work out a movie for
