Anyway, who is this Anton?

I'll put it in words you'll understand.

Anton likes to live in a cultured world. But, he himself is not adapted to his nature. He is multi-talented but never displays his works to the masses.
Anton likes to be many things. This may include a Christmas tree. Or a snowflake. Or an Etch-a-Sketch. You get the idea.
Anton worries about his growing symptoms of Multiple Personality Disorder.

As an outlet for his emotions, Anton regularly speaks to someone who does not exist. It's not even a part of him. Probably someone he created for the sole purpose that he needs someone to talk to. This does not relate to his growing symptoms of MPD... He's just a psychosomatic person.
He may be dealing with two psycho-disturbances (MPD and psychosomatic symptoms) at the same time.

He claims that people should not listen to their hearts because it doesn't talk. They should, he states, listen to their mind instead because it's more rational... and it talks.

He therefore asks, why is the mind talking? How does it know how to speak?
