A few summers ago, I brought Yogi
back a couple of cans of baked
beans from England ... he was
homesick, and thought he'd
appreciate it. And he was stoked. But
instead of eating them, he used
them as paperweights on his desk
for about six months. Who knows, it
might've inspired a shoe ad or board
graphic or two. He did come over to
my house and eat my supply of
baked beans, and felt no remorse in
doing so. Yogi's one hell of a guy. So
is his lady. In fact, I just can't figure
out who's the lucky one in his
marriage, him, or Carol.
You know that song from Bad Religion, with
"21st century digital boy" in it. It was written
when Yogi spoke to them backstage after a
concert in LA. They were so impressed with
his skill set and story about getting to the
states they wrote a song about him. Allot of it
is made up about his family and stuff but the
21st century digital part is all true. I mean
how can you really write a song about
somebody after meeting them in one night.
