About Me:
I am a man who loves cats. That means you can trust me.
Ici on parle francais.
I have lived in France twice. The first was 1996-97, when I spent a year in Rennes, studying French. The second time was actually more significant to me, though. I lived in Nancy, the capitol of the Lorraine, and had my own apartment in the old part of town (see my pictures for a photo of the square where I lived). I taught English at a university that year, and went to a lot of restaurants, and several great bars, including our group favorite, la Cabane du Brasseur, on the market square. They make their own organic beer, which is cloudy and sweet, but good. Don't drink too much of it, though, or as one of my British colleagues put it, "it'll make you shit for England."

and I met in cyberspace in a Jeanette Winterson
fan club. We had the same taste in books and
both did acting so we became e-mail buddies.
Daniel was the first person I ever met online and
am so happy to know him; if I lived in the same
city as him, I'd like to hang out, see one of his
shows, then have a chat over beer. Instead I just
know him by random e-mails, strange similarities
and precios few photos. Never-the-less, Daniel
seems like one of those exceptionally talented
over-educated people who should really be living
in France like David Sedaris!! Go, Daniel, go!
apartment just upstairs from the
wonderful Daniel, and I couldn't be more
pleased about the arrangement. Daniel
has this amazing charisma that makes
people instantly warm up to him, myself
included. He's always there to make
sure I don't drink alone, and he won my
eternal admiration for playing Beatles
songs on guitar. He has a good heart
that he doesn't try to hide and he's a
terrific listener. I'm so glad we're
neighbors, and even more glad we're friends.
Borders in Bloomington has ever seen. he is
amazingly easy to talk to, dresses *flash* [blue
checkered shirts gained 'staple status'], and
has great taste in music. he can also make
you laugh no matter how dire the situation
[read: espresso machine is down, the line is
20-people long, said 20 people are all in need
of a strong caffeine fix, and the manager is
breathing down your neck]. he's *ace*
