Michael ages well. Like a fine wine, or
a stinky cheese, his flavours grow more
layered, more subtle, with time. Which
is all to say that I'm not quite sure
how we became real friends in the last
few years, but it's certainly happened.
Every time I'm at the very lowest point,
he and Tami are there to keep me from
falling underwater. Thanks, kiddo.
Mike had me at "Hello." Okay, back
then he wasn't "Mike" or "Michael", he
was "Kermit". Which means, given the
circumstances, that he probably had me
at "Ribbit". It may not be easy being
green - but if it isn't easy being
smart and funny, his life must be HELL.
