About Me:
This is what http://gothere.com/sandiego/NorthPark/ said about me:
"North Park is located in the heart of San Diego, just north of Balboa Park. An older community, North Park has been undergoing a renaissance since 1993.New sidewalks, landscaping and an influx of arts, culture and entertainment make North Park worth a visit. Craftsman homes and friendly neighbors make North Park a place you may also want to live."

Who I Want to Meet:
Anyone who remembers when NP had an REI, when kids with Down's would serve you at Eggies, when Bird Park was nothing but weeds, when Aztec Bowl was THE place, when running thorugh the tunnel under the 30th St bridge was cool. Anyone who's bought alcohol underage at Ray's Liquor...or maybe just a chipwich and some Fun Dip after a day roaming the canyons. Anyone who remembers 35 cent ice cream cones at Thrifty, fresh pressed peanut butter at Jimbo's/Sunshine/Boney's and when Albertson's was still Lucky. Anyone who live's in me, loves me or wants to get to know me better.

trashed at a party in North Park when I was
home from college for winter break. My date
was this guy that worked at ClairDL's that I'd
always wanted to do and he got pretty shitty
too. So I went home with him after throwing
up near Bird Park and woke up naked, sticky
from whip cream, with the nastiest hang over.
Needless to say I was far from home (1.5 miles
seems far when your head is trying to expel
your hippocampus) so I called my mother to
see if she'd come pick me up. Alas, she made
my sorry ass walk home...forced me to do my
walk of shame. But truly, that morning I
realized how much I love NP. The taco shops,
the people, the sun beating down on the
palms, the tacky wolf's bar painting, the hot
coffee guy I got to do. I love you NP, I will
always consier you home. You made my walk
of shame a stride of pride.
I've met many of my freinds in North
Park and spent practically half my
childhood in the place. Being a teen
in the 90's it was all about the
salvation army and the controversial
bookstore, not to mention the Aztec
Bowl, pawn shops, club xanth and the
thrift stores. Shooterz wasn't bad on
thursday nights (club 80's used to
rule until Ed left as a bartender), as
was mo' betta burger and picante's.
Since i've moved away, i still hold a
certain place in my heart for North
Park (sniff, sniff)
