Joko. She is probably the craziest,
most random, most honest, laziest
person I have ever met. However, I
don't think that I would choose anyone
else to be my right-hand, okay, maybe
more like my left hand (wo)man (ha,
ha). She and I have been through a lot
and I trust her with everything. I hope
that she understands how important our
friendship is to me, because I don't think
that there is anyone who understands
me as well as her. She is an amazing
woman and I am blessed to have her as
a friend.
two years of high jump coaching by a jesus loving
10k runner (i suppose to subject myself to 25 laps
around an oval in butthuggers, i would have to
have strong faith and conviction as well) is
enough of a testimonial that deep down inside,
joko does have feelings and compassion afterall.
now that shes back at school and no longer
spending long winter days in the fieldhouse
clapping the rhythm of my eight steps and
consistently telling me to "just jump higher!" things
have improved drastically and she will even run
with me at MY pace. for the very lucky man who
will one day break through the iceburg
surrounding this beautiful womans heart (note:
she likes irish runners), i pray for your soul and
shins.
only one willing to get out of bed at 6am
and pray with me, even when I'm
cranky. Joko is a real friend who says it
like it is and isn't afraid to argue for
what she believes. Always there when
you need a friend or a laugh, Joko is
one of the best things about Philly!
oh wait, every time I ran with Joko she
pounded me into the ground. That
doesn't mean I stopped talking sh*t to
her though. That's right, some day when
I am in SICK shape, I am going to...
yeah... right. Joko is one of the
nicest, most sincere people you will
ever meet. A++ in my book. She'll
pound you though.
lunch, or an evening out on the town?
Bring a book. She's often 10-30 min
late. But Joko is definitely worth
the wait. Oh, and call her on her cell
phone to make sure that she's not
still in bed.
