Kara always has the best haircuts in
town. And because of those haircuts,
which I am of course responsible for, I
have to say she is the best looking
female engineer I know.
Kaka...what can I say? I have known
Kara since I was six years old and the
feud began...over Freddy. Since then
we've been through alot, including the
epic cat fight at swim team districts.
(Mind you, if you are going to
participate in a cat fight, DO NOT do
it before a swim race because chlorine
really stings fresh cuts!!) But once we
got through that awkward enemy stage,
we became good friends and continue to
be so. As the years have passed we
realize that we ended up with very
similar values and thoughts about
things (which we traced back to our
oddly similar upbringing,)and are
better friends than ever. Alas, she
lives in New York now and I miss her!!
But i never worry about losing touch
with her because Kara has a need,
bordering on compulsion, to keep in
touch with everyone she has ever met.
Which is good for us because she's
worth keeping around. Never forget
everything we learned at Mt. Alvernia,
the time my brother got locked in your
bathroom during a carpool meeting,
learning to swim at swimteam, girl
scouts, NCT, BLS, and everything in
between. See you at Thanksgiving!
Kara's pic makes her look like a
character ala Mortal Kombat. (Not just
due to the Asian apparel...more on the
look she's giving off, the look that
she's going to "BREAK YOU!!!")
Remember "Killer Instinct" where the
girls fatality was she would flash
you??? I remember that...
Everyone loves a German girl! Kara was
there beside me at Die Deutsche
Sonnabend Schule every saturday morning
for seven years. We were partners in
crime as we traveled the halls of BU,
tagging the bathroom walls and sneaking
into locked classrooms. Plus she's the
only girl I know whose mother might be
almost as crazy as mine. I said almost.
I have not seen Kara since 2001, when I
asked her to drop me at Quincy Center
to go hang with Tommy Grimaldi. Our
hair styles were different then: I had
long hair and she looked like one half
of mother/mother duo. (I was...sigh,
look...somewhat clever innuendo about
being lesbian? Or, y'know,a lesbian
haircut? Oh you know what, "YOUR
MAJESTY!"...) Prior to that, we were
going to see Gladiator, but she was
being detained. Meh. Maybe someday,
Kara...someday we will see Gladiator. I
like King Diamond...
Kara is a stunning femme fatale with a
penchant for rubix cubes. Whenever
she says "I'm calling my bank", she's
REALLY calling her secret agent HQ to
see if there is any new missions. At
home in situations ranging from
pretending to sleep 15 hours a day, to
masqurading as a Seattle streetwalker,
to singing "It's a long way to shoes"
for over an hour, she is truly ready
for anything! A woman for all
seasons, envied and desired by all, I
am lucky to have met her.
Kara is the coolest New York City
dweller that i know. Plus she knows
all the good dirt on me, so i dont
have much bad to say about her... Not
that there was any in the 1st place.
take kara, add a handle of tequila, a
game of uno, limes, and salt. mix all
ingredients together in a beach house
and wait three hours.
enjoy.
Kara's testimonial for a THIRD time, but it's
been what? 4 months? That can't be right...
