hours, and about 20 minutes ago,
Christine took me against my will to a
seedy tattoo parlor in Hollywood, where
she handed the 300-pound, red-bearded
gorilla who was working as resident
tattoo artist a forged permission slip
to allow me to get a tattoo even though
I was underaged. Kicking and
screaming, I was branded with a
huge "Born to Beer-Bong" tattoo all
over my neck and back. Eventually, I
got used to it, and it was kind of cool
to have in college. However, as time
has gone by, I have begun to have mixed
feelings about the tattoo, especially
when I'm in attendance at officer and
board meetings of large corporations,
or when I'm giving speeches at local
schools about the future of public
education.
