Another year to celebrate! Happy
Birthday Mike!!!!!!
quit posting up your illustrator skills
pictures here.. he knows that my skill
are WAY better than his...(j/k.. am
just a little jealous... ;0)) How can i
ever forget this gook? (GREAT! i can
say all the most honest and
embarrassing things that i can say now,
since he is no longer my boss.. hehehe)
j/k.. Anyways, Mike is like the Jedi
master when it comes to making things
almost come to life in illustrator. He
is a great teacher/boss that I've
worked with so far in the graphic
design world... He has a lot of
patience and is very creative
(eventhough his creations are mostly
inspired/copied and changed a little
bit so it wont look like mine..
j/k!)... No, but really, as a person
Mike is a great person. He not only
looked at me as one of his employee,
but he also looked after me as one of
his friends.(THANK YOU VERY MUCH). He
made my life living in LA more homi-er.
(he pretty much helped me realized that
things dont just fall right into your
lap)...and i can say more things here
about him, but i have to give people
some space... i will end this blog with
one of your sayings..... "people who'll
succeed must know how to accept
changes" ......
1997 @ ASR longbeach, shockwave was
the booth next to ours
(americanjunkies). . .been a while huh
bro?!?! damn! from day one, mike has
been a kooool kat with a kooo
vibe. . .i think he should
commercialize more of his own art
though. . .much respect big brada! its
the age of the YELLOWMAN !, stay up!
perceptive peeps I ever knew. And he
can be crazy, too. Especially when the
party is on. We go back to days of the
R-I-V. He keeps it tight with the
talent. Mike is always messin' with
Earl.
unlike Howard Hughes. I once saw this man
toast a benjamin over a camp fire when I
was on holiday in Malta (circa 2001). I recall
slipping into the fortress-like estate Chateau
du Coree. Michael was getting a pedicure
and sipping Johnnie Walker from a straw
near a fire. I got caught on the security
fence and was losing a lot of blood. Two
huge rottweilers (sp) emerged from the
verdant hills and were coming for me. I
thought it was the end. I made my peace
with Krishna and spat and called my mother
on her cell when Michael appeared in front
of me with a half-burned benjamin in his
hand and a halo behind his head. The dogs
stopped instantly and cowered before the
spitting image of the archangel as Michael
Lee. He helped me down from the fence
and passed his hand over my wound. I was
healed. Michael Lee is a good deity and a
healer. Salut, mon ami. -80
subscribe to the fact that everyone is crazt in
their own way to some degree. Other than
that he's a great dude. He'd give ya the shirt
off his back if he had to.
poker, you should ask him about it.
