Liezel
There's terrific merit in having no sense of humour, no sense of irony, practically no sense of anything at all. If you're born with these so-called defects you have a very good chance of getting to the top.-Peter Cook (British Comedian, Satirist) 05/11/2009

What I enjoy doing:
Exploring the city (NYC or DC), CITY LIFE, Acting, Comedy (live, sketch, standup), Movies, Performing Improvisational Comedy, Drinking, Watching college hoops (Not limited to UMD games, either. Go Terps! College b-ball is fantastic to watch live or on the tube.), Any sports, really. Reading great novels, live music, writing (mostly short stories, but venturing out to other mediums of the written word), meeting people, making them laugh, enjoying a good Lager, Bourbon, or Shiraz, I can down cups of hot black tea like most of you can down lagers of beer (not a coffee drinker, unless I'm hungover), Learning new things, Meeting fascinating people, and making fun of everything possible. Laughing, and sharing the laughter. Procrastinating, laying about, and exploring stimluating words in the dictionary. Oh, and solving world hunger in my "spare time"? Rediscovering my addiction to mind games. (Hell, your brain needs the workout) At least mine needs a constant fix of this...

I have lost contact with the tv world, but when I do find myself in front of the boob tube I watch the following: Family Guy, The Simpsons, The Office, Scrubs, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, but I much prefer movies of quality substance on Blu Ray Disc's. Yep, my BF & I have a Blu Ray player. It's NICE. The movies are always so "crisp"...

About Me:
I really want to live in London. No. Really. What else do you need to know? Ah, you'd like to know a bit more, eh? I'm a Jersey girl born and raised. And no, you cannot use that against me. I have a postive, yet pushy "Quit busting my chops" kind of attitude. I secretly enjoy people. There's something in connecting with others in and out of the romantic level that gets me randy. Three words can describe me best. Funny. Ass. Person. Really, I am. I make for fun company. Love to meet people. Will always have a great time, no matter the place or the company. Hate stupid people. Enjoy movies. Enjoy to write. Will always have a latest book discovery. City girl, so please don't convert me. NYC, DC... are my kinds of towns. (You'll find me in DC most nights. I should LIVE there, really. I should live in NYC, actually...) Terribly congenial, almost to a fault. Hate pretentious asses dropping big names as if I give a rat's ass. I'm smart, and not in a smart ass way. I'm humble, so I won't rub in how smart I really am. I go out my way to make people feel good. Stubborn at best. Aversion to unappreciation with my work, with myself, with loved ones. Fascinated with all levels of relationships. I love to laugh, and love to make others laugh. I am a good friend. Wonderful listener. Once you've made a friend of me, you have one for life. Get along with most people, much love for everyone. I love whole heartedly, though some may say I fear intimacy. Love is possible. Scary, no? Respect me, you'll get the same treatment. I do have to say that I'm a cool chick. Don't ask for too much, don't expect that much either. In short, I'm a well rounded individual with much to offer, and little time to do so. Not too many people can understand that. I'm simple, yet complex. Very much like the rest of the world.
There's much more to me than people tend to see...

Who I Want to Meet:
I'd love to meet old friends & I wouldn't mind meeting anyone new. People are fun, you can learn a lot from them. Or have a good time making fun of them in the process..
I secretly want to meet hooligans, miscreants, scoundrels, scalawags, curmudgeons, louts, ne'er-do-wells, cynics, malcontents, rabble-rousers, misanthropes, instigators, anarchists, mavericks, renegades, naysayers, partisans, ruffians, sarcastic bastards, boozehounds, misguided youth and bitter old men.
If I could meet anyone: I'd say Steve Carell. He's simply a genuis. Damned funny, smart, and a good looking guy. I am a big fan of his work. I also wouldn't mind meeting Martin Amis, mostly because he a great British writer, and just seems like an interesting bloke. Tina Fey, because she's just awesome. Funny, Smart, and Cute? And a writer for SNL? Yep, she's my idol.
