What I enjoy doing:
...rent, credit, deposits, dadaistic dance and prance, crooked straightening, mindfullness, damsels in distress, mood lighting, maiden voyages, an ego, growth (both spiritual and facial), epistemology, intuition, lost causes, anarchic disc jockeys, an unabashed crash, mistakes, taking the piss, getting pissed, the calm before the storm, the cool before the warm, inate fear, children of a lesser god, tension and resolve, ether and it's space, room service, turbulance, puckered lips, lullabies, bedroom eyes, a term of endearment, the last bite, an underdog, a story-teller, airport/airline seating, a look inward, sweet-cheeks, wiggley-wagons, love, a pulse, a heartbeat...

cheers from jakarta
to seeing you behind the decks again
in my hometown...but when will that
be??
hangin' out with Buck. Back during
the blissful daze, when I snuck out of
my commune, surviving on nothing but
tofu, sprouts, fresh air,
birkenstocks, and a smile; I would
waddle down Polk street like a happy
penguin, joyously skipping along,
throwing daffodils, passing incense
sticks, hugging strangers, slobber
kisses on their cheeks, make faces on
store windows... Buck, who had a
fairly good handle on cynicism would
pop my bubble by declaring: "I'm not
shopping at your shitty store, 'cause
the other one's got a couch, they
massage my ego and smoke me out!"...
OK, Buck doesn't exactly have the
flair for the fine art of diplomacy.
But I had to admire his crushing
honesty. And I still had to keep a
leery eye out on him 'cause he had his
finger firmly planted on the pulse of
the underground. His records were a
stirring eclectic puzzle that proved
to be ahead of the curve. His playing
was at once spectacularly creative and
disciplined. His colorful character
is always an exercise of extremes:
psychic wreckage on one hand, and
impossible visions on the other. But
no worries: I found a safer place in
the insane asylum and Buck's reign of
terror ended when he went picnicking
in England.
at 'Church' WAY back when and he has
continued to spread his gospel of sick,
nasty underground beats around the
planet, never making concessions and
never apologizing. Buck is an
uncompromising artist and a true music
lover, therefore he is a brother in
rhythm, now and f'ever...
buck. I think we have to have the iron
chef battle one day!!
