be the same person without Sara. She has
been my best friend for 15 years, which is a
testament to her loyalty and strength of
characater. Sara is, from every angle,
beautiful. In a closer frame she is witty and
funny, and still closer, at her center, she is
brimming with love to give and is constantly
searching for passion in life. Sara is not just
a singer/songwriter, but an emotional
wordsmith; through her songs she is a deft
cartographer, mapping the beats of the
human heart with agility and a simplicity that
is, well, complex. Hearing Sara sing makes
you wish you could be her, or at the very
least know her. I guess I should say
something sarcastic or smart now, but alI I
have is true, honest love for this girl.
known what it is like to not be a
virgin. Yes, we met when I still had
glasses and she wore her hair in a
high, Olivia Newton-John-inspired
ponytail sprouting from the side of her
head. We sang in choir together and
then she would come over and she and my
sister would lock themselves in her
room and do the dark, artistic, smoke-
tinged things that rebellious teens do.
Good Times.
But now she has blossomed into
womanhood, and there is just no getting
around the fact that she is a hot, hot
fox with a sharp mind, golden pipes and
a delightful flair for the absurd.

family - yes, even if you beg me to be
let out - and I will always love you.

Sara and I were roommates I guess about
8 years ago (yikes, has it been that
long???) and the only thing separating
our rooms was a sliding glass door.
Needless to say, there were occasions
when one of us would slide that door
open to say night-night or chat or pass
the kitty-cat through. Quite an
experience! Sara is a phenomenal
singer/actress and a remarkable
friend. Although she lives in far-away
L.A. she is still close in my heart.
