Sarah Beth is one of my favorite people
to bond with over all sorts of
activities: chatting, hanging out,
misspelling names. She writes
beautifully and speaks dead languages
better than you speak them live.
As I get older, most of my convictions
grow wispy. One major exception is
this: year by year I'm more certain
that my life is better because Sarah
Beth has been in it. If she were an
uncaring person, it would still be
fascinating to watch the movements of
her mind, struggling all the while to
keep up. But the very notion of an
uncaring Sarah Beth is oxymoronic,
because warmth--her warmth, the warmth
of her smile and heart--permeates
whatever room is lucky enough to
contain her shine. Sarah, I miss you.
sarah makes you laugh, makes you think,
makes you wish you were as smart as she
is :) she is the star that always
shines and a friend always loved. and
there is simple happiness to just hear
her sing...
