Testimonials and Comments for Amy
undergrad, and she and I lived on the same
floor. She is quite witty and intense and fun to
hang with. Ask her to borrow her Supreme
Court Cases on CD or tape! She made a mix
tape for all of us who were in the same circle
of friends to enjoy during the summer - that's
the unexpected generosity that she's known
for.
helping me memorize my lines for our
third grade production of "Snow White,"
for turning me on to the song "The Girl
from Ipanema", and for showing me how
to decorate Christmas Trees and Easter
Eggs. I never would have gotten
through Jr. High school without her.
She is one smart, funny, genuine lady &
I'm psyched that she found me here
inside the computer.
the fresh cigarette, the sweetest part
of the mango, the sunrise after the
first date. She is the golden child.
stick. But you'd never know it looking
at her. She eats with utensils and has
much better manners than most. She
does not lick her knife at job
interview lunches. And speaking of
knives, she's the best durned thing
since sliced bread. Heck, better than
that. The best thing since bread
itself first showed up.
I love that when I called her after my
first day of law school, whispering so
that my classmates couldn't overhear
me, and said, almost in tears, that I
didn't understand Marbury v. Madison
well enough to brief the case and, come
on, that was SO BASIC,I must not be cut
out for the law, she laughed and
reassured me that it was probably
impossible to ever understand it well
enough to brief it accurately, much
less on the first day of law school.
I love that when we lived together in
college and shared a dresser, she
marked my drawers with yellow smiley
faces so that I wouldn't continue to
open 3 drawers before I found mine.
I love that she's got the sharpest,
quickest mind I've ever encountered.
I love that knitting AND painting AND
drawing AND making jewelry AND
snorkling AND covering egg shells with
washi paper all come naturally to her.
I'm serious. There's no learning curve
there.
I love that although she's brutally
honest, she gives everyone the benefit
of the doubt.
I love that her judgment of character
is almost fail-safe. If she likes
someone, I like her, too.
You get the idea.
Not "one of" the funniest. THE
funniest. She's silly and crazy-fun,
and as an added bonus, she also has one
of the biggest hearts around. There's
no one else you'd rather be stuck with
for days in a flooding Venice, Italy, I
tell you!
know. we go back, WAY back... I'll
never forget her singing "by my side"
in our high school production of
GODSPELL. Still sends a chill up my
spine. I'll always wish her the best
with everything!
