About Me:
There's not enough room in "Favorite Music." I got cut off
before I could finish typing "Blind Willie McTell." Also
wanted to mention Elvis, Chuck Berry, MC5, Stooges, Hank
Williams, James Brown, and on and on.
Secondly, please note that I have recently changed my
primary photo. When I first started here, my primary photo
was a bluish-green ocean creature, resembling either a
dolphin or a fish, depending on your point of view. I have
since changed it to an actual photo of myself. You need to
know this to understand a couple of comments in my
testimonials.

who holds himself to the strictures of another,
better time. And for that I love him. That, and
the fact that he is the most perfect boyfriend
for my beloved sister Shifra!
Stephen? He's good people. As he
mentioned in the testimonial he was so
kind to write about me he took me to my
first rock concert when I was 14, Lola.
1994. It was a great show out at Red
Rocks in Denver, and it was the
highlight of my summer vacation. He
took me the next year too and I got to
meet the bassist from Hole -- which was
a big deal at the time, let me tell ya.
Besides being a very talented musician,
he's also turned out to be an excellent
boyfriend to my precious sister Shifra,
which makes me love him all the more.
Westerberg as much as Stephen does is
clearly someone I can bond with. Stephen
facilitates my obsession, for which I am
thankful. He's a great
conversationalist, and therefore, a
terrific pal to be suck in a line with.
And, to top it off, he makes excellent
music.
that I was planning to write a testimonial to
Stephen long before he went trolling for them
on his bulletin board. Not least because
Stephen wrote an incredibly generous
testimonial to me, unsolicited. I am sure that
the words that follow will be in no way
mitigated by these circumstances. Well,
Stephen's the only rock and roller I've ever met
who I like as a person. His music rates at least
3 stars and usually 4 on my iTunes playlist.
(There are only 15 out of 4500 that rate 5
stars.) In these days we live in, Stephen is one
of the very few guys who is simultaneously a
lot cooler than he claims to be, a lot more
humble than he needs to be, a lot more loving
than social conventions require, and a lot
funnier than called for. The world needs more
of youse!
PRIDE one of my best friends. As I
am a two headed humanoid, he
seems to have morphed into a
dolphin which is not surprising, as
he lives so close to the ocean and
has an exceedingly large brain!
Stephen is one of the most important
people in my life, and has been for a
long , long time now. Our connection
was birthed through our mutual
obsession/addiction with music and
the creation thereof. Some of the
best times of my performing career
would never have happened without
the HUGE talents that Stephen
posesses. I can't say enough about
his brilliance, and as he said of me,
if the world was right, and God
knows it isn't, Stephen would be
hugely famous and fabulously rich
and worshipped by now. I still think it
will happen some day. There are
many people on this planet I
call"friend", but only a small few are
family and Stephen is definetely
amongst that group. Without his
support and the pleasure of sharing
existence, I don't know that I would
be alive today. (Read my bio if you
want the dirt). What more can i say. I
love him to death. The world is a
better place with a dash of Mr. S
Pride.
(maybe the light was murky?), Stephen
is the handsomest man I know. You can
see better pictures of him at
http://www.washrocks.com (my current
favorite:
http://washrocks.com/graphics/012101red
/s9.jpg ). We've been friends since
high school. Stephen rocks harder than
anybody. He'll make you laugh until
your face hurts. He reads Faulkner for
fun, and he's incredible at
entertaining five-year-olds. He's the
most wonderful person I've ever had in
my life, and I've got some pretty
wonderful people in my life.
