About Me:
I live in the Frogtown neighborhood of St. Paul in an artist's co-op. I am not an artist, unless you count the fine art of radio reproduction.
I am compulsively social, and hate being alone. I also realized recently that I can have an overpronounced and somewhat unattractive sense of righteous indignation. I blame that on Macalester. That's where I went to college, and I still volunteer there by asking my classmates to donate money to the place. I used to get paid for doing that; it was my first job out of college. Now I'm a shill for the man pro bono.
I like nothing better than to spend my free time playing cards and cooking (am I really this boring?...yes. Sad but so, so true.)

Who I Want to Meet:

words MURDERER and RAPIST don't
even come to mind. So if you are not

a very long time. That's why, when my
husband asked me to go to Curtis' house
in the artist's co-op one day, I said
yes, even though I didn't know anyone
else there. And then the glory of
Curtis' creativity was revealed to me-
in the form of a small documentary.
Damn is it funny. That was the day I
think I became friends with Curtis: the
day he shared his documentary with me.
Also, the fact that I met my husband in
Minnesota is due to Curtis going to
Macalester. So, thanks Curtis. And
thank you Macalester.

a Bahai wedding. There in the sweltering
heat of an Austin August, tongue
loosened by drink, Curtis vainly asked
me to give money to Macalester. I was
dumbfounded, the more so when 10 months
later, the pressures of fiscal year-end
induced him to call me at home under the
pretense of socializing, only to reveal
that he wanted money. For Macalester.
Again. And I capitulated, and was
stripped of my tax-deductible
contribution of five U.S. dollars.
This is how I know we will be friends
forever.
