Shane...We used to chill all of the
time a few years ago (although it
doesn't seem that long ago). She was
always a great source of advice, and
good conversation, and pure-hearted
love and friendship....I'm sure none of
that has changed and I'm stoked that we
have met up again...It will be fun
catching up!
got the smarts, the looks, and the
drive to get whatever she goes after in
life. What's not to like? She's funny,
charming, gregarious, and very very
caring. She was there every day when I
was laid up in the hospital a few years
back and even took care of me back home
while I was recup'ing. I can still
remember those crazy exploding
chocolate pancakes! My dogs were very
fond of her and so am I. Shane is
someone I know I'll be friend's w/
forever. Luv ya, Shane!
totally "set up" to be friends. You
see, she was dating this guy who was
crashing at one my friend's pad. My
friend called me up and said, "Hey,
we're having some people over for
dinner, and you HAVE to come. You'll
totally hit it off with this girl,
Shane, that this guy is seeing."
Well, sure! I enjoy dinner and
meeting interesting new people. So, I
went. In fact, Shane and I did
completely hit it off, she was
interesting, intelligent, funny, and
charismatic. (And still is!!) What's
not to like? It turns out, though,
that we almost didn't meet that night
because she was a little tired, but
her boy told her she HAD to come,
because she would hit it off with me.
(These boys just KNEW we would be
great friends! And how right they
were!)
An interesting Post Script to this
little tale... her current boyfriend
is my good friend Dave, who was my
roommate at the time! They met at
my/our place and were so cute! They
were both completely attracted to and
smitten with each other, but they BOTH
asked me if I minded if they hooked
up. Who am I to stand in the way of
love? I gave them my blessing, and am
out of a roommate!!!
(Love ya, Shane!)
that's Shane! If anyone befriends her,
they'll find themselves to be the
second luckiest person alive. I say
second because I'm the first most
luckiest person alive; she's my
girlfriend! Here you have a cool chick
that speaks her mind and will defend
her choices and opinions to the
ground. If you're going to be Shane's
friend, make sure you bring your brain
and a kind heart because a lack of
either will disqualify you. Got those
two things under control? Add in a fun-
loving attitude and a sense of humor
and there's a good chance you'll get
along fine with her. TO SHANE: Love
you, mama. Thanks for making me a
better, happier person. XO
enough, but she sure is one of my
favorite people around. One of those
girls you can talk to about anything
and everything and always have fun
with... And I admire her drive to make
a difference in this world! Peace
Corps would be silly not to have you!
because I used to walk to school with
her in 9th grade. What did you ever
do? HA!
