About Me:
Me in a paragraph or two. Right. Well, I study philosophy on the graduate level, and I minored in history, so of course those are two subjects that rarely ever tire me. A lot of my professional interests are tied up with ethics, and with philosophy of law and philosophy of art. On the latter, I've been getting more interested in art history, and a few movements and artists mentioned in the my interests list below. I'm also sort of obsessed with music, to occasionally (but only occasionally) absurd, High Fidelity levels. And I've been getting into film theory, and subsequently weird, obscure b-movies, indie films, silent films, and other classic movies. For some reason, horror, fantasy and sci-fi tend to be my favorite genres.
Despite not actually owning much technology, I've had a growing interest in it, particularly in computers and multi-media. And I don't get to do it terribly often, but I love downhill skiing and hiking.

Who I Want to Meet:
I admire people who aren't afraid to have opinions, even when that lands them opposite to my own beliefs. Likewise, it's just as important to be open-minded, and to not take opposing views as personal attacks. (Nothing expresses self-confidence better than an attitude of open-mindedness toward difference.)
Passion about the arts is a plus. Painting, music, writing - everything.

testified about jason. now that just isn't
right. so i'll do my best to make it so.
he's damn shnazzy. he's funny, he's
crazysmart, and just good people. he's
a newmexitexalibertarian, but i don't
hold that against him too much. (he's
also dashingly handsome, but that really
goes without saying)
best of all, he's good at making his
girlfriend smile and claplikeamonkey by
doing a priceless moose
impersonation. and if that's not a
reason to get to know the boy, than i just
don't know what is.
picture in my head that of Jason
careening downhill out of control, arms
and legs akimbo, and screaming his head
off? but seriously, I've known this
guys since he was like 3 years old and
he's always been a righteous dude. All
the cool kids think so.
quiet Peanuts character who was always
on the periphery, yet who was secretly
much cooler than Charlie Brown or the
other dysfunctional people in the
limelight. I am happy to know that
he's waging war for smartness and
freeness in the halls of academia.
