About Me:
Brockport, New York, is a small college town of 9,700 residents located on the historic Erie Canal, 16 miles west of Rochester and 45 miles east of Buffalo. Flights to those cities from New York City, Boston or Washington, DC are only an hour or so. Toronto, Canada is but a 3 1/2-hour drive. We're the ugly red headed state school step child in the Greater Rochester Area. Academically we were once superior to no one. However, we're starting to change our image with some of the highest academic standards we've ever had. Thank you Paul Yu. Our sports teams continue to dominate the G.R.A. We were once referred to as "Jock"port but hopefully that stereotype has since passed. "We're not internationally known but we're known to rock the microphone" with some of best concerts every year.
