I am not ashamed to admit that I am a Soap Opera Addict. (Young and the Restless, As the World Turns). But I'm going to quit as soon as Jennifer learns that Craig switched the Babies. I mean it this time. I don't have cable, so I miss out on tons of quality television, which is probably a good thing since I clearly have television adiction issues. Oh yeah, I also love the OC

About Me:
I was once called a contrarian, and I thought that was the best! I usually feel out of step with popular culture and technology. I am often dismayed to see how ordinary my own existence is. I yearn to break out of my snoring life and travel the world having adventures, breaking hearts. I am the mother of a wonderful daughter, Dorian and she is truly a phenomenal person. I love being a mom and I think I'm really good at it, but sometimes I feel stuck in an existence that feels foreign and alienating to me. (Dory attends a hoity-toity private school. Brutal.) I am passionate about social justice and human rights and consider myself to be a pretty ethical person. I hope to have some impact on the state of the world, as cliche as that sounds. Also, I am a good friend (usually), a compassionate listener, a mediocre dancer, a terrible singer and a really good kisser (i think). I would also describe myself as kind, honest, creative, irreverent (my mom called me an iconoclast!), impatient, and tremendously fun when I'm all riled up.

Who I Want to Meet:
I enjoy meeting people who are funny, honest, adventurous, creative, intelligent and kind with some kind of social justice mission in life. I cannot stand phonies or bigots of any kind, haters or people who don't realize that they're boring. I'd love to meet people who like to go exploring, dancing, singing, who aren't afraid to get shitty-ass drunk and make a spectacle of themselves...Please question authority and don't be afraid to stick it to the man.

Readers take note, once Martha is
