As my dear Elizabeth says below, I am quite into politics. I consider myself a progressive, but don't mind being called a liberal either. It's better to have a bleeding heart than none at all, after all. Travel is in my blood. My seven years in Saudi Arabia made a huge impression on me. I tend to romanticize it, but doesn't everyone do that to their childhood? I have an endless appetite for Middle Eastern and Central Asian history these days. I've been really bothered by our recent escapades in the Muslim world. I just finished "Imperial Hubris," which is incredibly, amazingly good and actually also depressing. Just so many problems in the world and too many stupid people running it. What's a boy to do?

UPDATE: I just started my first semester of law school at Texas Tech. It's very hard. That's what I keep telling everybody, but it really is true. I don't have enough time to do everything I need to, and yet here I am wasting precious time...

Someone who shares an interest. I love being back in a college town again. Cool people abound, at least compared to the TINY town I was in not too long ago.
