Rarely does a band combine explosive guitars with an intense longing for meaning. Bushfire, however yearn for something more than what christian-culture is all about. The Group called their music as "Alterna-Pop-Emo-Pleghmatic.

They derive their repertoire from their common interest in rock music with deep positive meaning and purpose based on their experiences and beliefs. Bushfire creates swirling guitar pop, full of effortlessly arching melodies and textures that shift in continual motion.. stepping on a distortion pedal to scream about the dissonance of the modern age.. writing self-revelatory songs about hope, love, faith and the desire to be saved.

Their versatility and professionalism has given them opportunities to do front acts and perform side by side with a number of top local rock acts such as Barbie's Cradle, Battery, Spongecola, Eraserheads, Itchyworms, Sandwich, Bamboo and Mojofly, as well as having performed in a number of venues, churches, schools, bars and cafes in Manila.

One of their songs, "Lakbay" in their self-titled indie EP gained airplays on NU 107 Against the Flow and 98.7 Now Radio. You might as well consider that as the melting pot of their musicality. This also have been a local anthem in places where they can be seen performing live.

Formed in 2001, Bushfire is a role model to the youth, inspiring and motivating people thru their songs and live performances. They have the talent, gears and materials ready and with a right timing and a good packaging, their heart is ready to conquer the music scene
