• His parents are Kyushuan immigrants. His father is from Amakusa (Kumamoto), and his mother is from Amami (Kagoshima).
• His image color in Kanjani8 is yellow.
• The nickname "Dokkun" was made up by Yokoyama Yu.
• Is a good cook.
• Best friend is Uchi Hiroki.
• A big fan of Leah Dizon. (Or at least he was until he met her and got embarrassed.)
