human being. I ran into her on the
street the other day and NOT ONCE
did she kick me in the groin and
scream for the police. I miss this lil'
lady.
We met in 1995 in a very exciting town
called Palmer, Massachusetts. Shayna
claims that I saved her life one summer
at Camp Ramah when I pulled her out of
a gooey quicksand/sewage swamp. But I
feel sort of guilty because she
wouldn't have sunk so far in the
quicksand if I hadn't stood there and
laughed at her. Sorry Shayna. But it
was pretty funny. Shayna is also
famous for flying off a treadmill twice
in less than 5 minutes at her local
gym. People are probably still talking
about it. I know I still am, and I
wasn't ever there. Shayna is funny
even when she isn't flying off
treadmills or sinking in sewage
swamps. She is a real character and to
top it off, she has an amazing ability
to connect with people of all different
types.
sweetness and mush im sure gets to you
a bit...i had to catch you off guard
with pigeon noises :) also, i have a
question. am i supposed to write this
as if YOU were reading it, or as if
someone who didnt know you wanted to
know about you. or is it both? anyway,
shay you know i think very highly of
you. im glad now that we dont
purposely push each others buttons
just to see what'll happen. i admire
you for finding and creating so much
good in this world. and your strength
and sense of self is unparalelled. i
miss you a great deal.
take trapeze lessons sometime soon.
Although, if I wanna make it in a
travelling circus, I probably have a
better shot in the freakshow.
there aren't enough wonderful things
to say about the gal. I only wish I
had one ounce of her creative ability,
but keep the foot fetish thing to
yourself;)
favorite Peanuts character Linus, once
declared, "sucking your fingers
without a blanket is like eating a
cone... without ice cream." now
anybody who knows me knows that i have
only one material possession in this
world that really matters to me- only
one possession that i can say, without
hesitation, would need to be removed
from the house on fire- my blanket,
aka my "night-night". and being an
avid finger sucker for an embarrassing
majority of my life, i know better
than anyone the delicate balance
between the two: the sucking of
fingers and the sniffing of blanket.
so i can say from experience that one
does not work well without the other-
I mean, the fingers just don't taste
as good when they blanket's not
there. in essence, it's actually an
all together entirely different
experience; in fact, it almost makes
you wonder why you suck your fingers
at all. This having been said, i will
now make the following
amendment: "sucking your fingers
without a blanket is like living in
new york... without shayna."
I've known this lady since I was 12
(holy shit, it's been 10 years!) and
her superiority over me never ceases to
amaze me! Let's go dancing sometime!
