many favorite things about emily, but
my favorite favorite thing about emily
is how much fun it is to talk about our
favorite things about her (anyone who's
worked with her, or me and had to hear
me rant on, can attest). she's the
person you can roll your eyes at
someone with in a boring meeting ("heff-
heff-heffernan!") or pass snide notes
with in a totally formal situation
("ruthanne's been telling me about her
upper g.i. again..."). she remembers
every little tiny thing you tell her
about your boring-ass life - things you
don't even remember a few days later,
and even pretends to be interested. she
also loves le tigre and sleater kinney
so that gives her bonus points in my
music-snob world, even if she does love
ac/dc. she even got me singing along to
ac/dc (who i can't stand) during School
of Rock. now that's a feat.
sweet hometown southern girl who kicks
ass and fights hard. How the bay area
is still treating you well. I miss all
you friends in olympia.
was gonna go around with the ladies,
she'd be the first i'd call. b/c
again, she is hot. and also a rocket
blast to hang with, like wickedly
funny and if you see emily at a party
you're always trying to weave your way
towards her, knocking aside all those
in your path! cuz her love makes you
crazy!

folks, kansas does exist. and i don't
mean to start any rumors, but i can't
guarantee that she is a virgin. I LOVE
THIS GIRL TO BITS!!!
also happen to live half-a-world (okay,
just half-a-continent) away. But, she
is in San Francisco, the greatest place
on earth, so I guess it is excusable!
BTW, have I mentioned that Emily has
great hair? Our friend Partha likes to
think he does, but Emily has him beat
with her full head of full-on blond
curls. It is fun to tease her when she
twirls them around her finger...
As a person and a friend, you couldn't
ask for someone more personable and
friendly. She's a bit of a talker, so
there is always something fun to chat
about with her.
Finally, she may not always feel this
way, but she absolutely has her head
screwed on straighter than anyone I
know. Of course, that doesn't always
means she knows absolutely what she
wants every single second of the day
(who does?!), but she knows how things
work and how to get shit done...and
looks great doing it.
