And what is that, you ask? Simple—give her fans a fiery dose of her unique pop-rock swagger.

The setlist of The Best Damn Tour is composed largely of songs from her latest album, but Avril is also going to sing some of her older hits.

Avril’s third studio album, The Best Damn Thing, spawned three singles, all of which went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. Listeners all over the world embraced When You’re Gone, Hot and Girlfriend with equal enthusiasm, but it was Girlfriend that truly struck a chord with them. (Perhaps they could relate to the spunky, in-your-face way the song dealt with unrequited love.) According to many music sites, the song has been hailed the most favorite ringtone and most downloaded song.

Avril’s other hits, including Complicated, Sk8er Boi, I’m With You, Losing Grip, My Happy Ending and When You’re Gone have landed the No. 1 spots on MTV and MYX. They have likewise become the most requested songs on Philippine radio.

Her albums have also been met with success. Let Go, her debut, has been certified six times platinum in the US since its release in 2002. Her follow-up album Under My Skin sold 8 million copies whereas The Best Damn Thing has sold over 5 million copies—and counting!—and has peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.
