i still beat bobby in tennis! jk =)
where I was cleverly able to describe his
taste in women in one word. Anyhow,
Bobby (aka Shinji) is cool because he is
one of the few people with whom I can
discuss pretty much anything - ranging
from TRAN OIP (sadly, we do) to why
guys like girls with long hair. Despite
the fact that he intends to kill me (and
probably you too) if he ever ruled the
world, it's still worth being friends with
him. (How likely is that anyway?)
Bobby gives the right mix of support and
straight-up truth. Btw, he doesn't
*really* hate Japanese people.
Whether it's clubbing, eating, bar-
hopping, playing tennis or kickball
(hehehe), board games... he's cool.
He's also very polite (at least to me..
we'll get to the REJECTING BOBBY in a
sec).. we'd go 'jogging', which meant
that I could last no more than a block,
then need a break, and he'd keep up at
my pace (walking). He never complained
about how out of shape I was or how
slow I was going. By the end of the
summer, I was able to go 2 blocks
without stopping. Thanks Bobby. I've
gotten to know Bobby a lot better these
past few years, and I'm glad.
Now on to REJECTING BOBBY: We were at
the bar this one time, and there was a
dance floor. One of the girls there
wanted to dance on the tiny dance
floor, so she asked him. He said, "No."
She asked him a few more times, and he
firmly repeated "No" no matter how
seductive she got. Finally she walked
back over to us other girls and
said.. "Ugh.. he kept saying 'no'." He
later told me he was "tired"... when he
says NO, he means NO. A man of his word.
exactly sure how. He's the one person I
can always count on: years of French,
5th grade geography, group 7th grade
math, projects in 8th grade history,
10th grade english, 12th grade
government, History of Feudal Japan,
Junior year managerial accounting (i
don't even remember what that is...).
Bob is cool enough to like the
Creedance Clearwater Revival, Michael
Jackson, and Ace of Base. There have
even been rumors that Bob is actually
the internationally reknowned club
dj "Chiacago Cheung"...I guess we'll
never really know about that one...
get to talk to him much, because he's a
big bad financial analyst now who makes
bank ( c'mon ladies, get him before
he's off the market..hee hee get it? )
but ever since I've known him he's
always been a great person to talk to,
mostly cuz he is always honest. :)
Especially when we were in high school
when I would call him to talk and he
would very bluntly tell me that he
needed to sleep or that he was ready to
end the conversation to do something
more important, like...nothing. haha..
just playing.
