“Without music, life would be a mistake.” Friedrich Nietzsche was German; but he spoke of a universal truth Bikolanos can totally appreciate. Rain or shine, music never let us down; in fact it sustains us – every hum and whistle, every strum and beat, and every melodious poetry gives us something to hold on to.

Albay is one rich resource of musicians everywhere. In true spirit of celebrating music, too, many bands have developed their own style and sound, captured in their original songs and remarkable performances. But they have yet to gain ground and respect as musicians, what with the lack of proper support and venue.

Fueled by the vision of a thriving music scene in Albay, Club Molotov, an informal organization initiated by four musician friends, is born.
