About Me:
"Alicia's standup has an amazing and rare combination of qualities- her work is at once subtle and intense, sophisticated and earthy, philosophical and relateable. She's deep AND funny. Her writing is intelligent and her performances are even more so. She manages to navigate the line between delicate and hard core. She is gracefully rough edged. She's like Ellen Degeneres meets Lenny Bruce (before he went crazy). Only different. And better."
-Katie Rubin, solo performer
San Francisco comedian Alicia Dattner's humor is edgy and confessional, but first and foremost, funny. She'll charm the pants off you, and then make fun of you for not wearing pants. Irreverent standup is her specialty--her over-the-top characters and stories, littered with punchlines, intersect themes of love, politics, and culture.
With recent appearances in the Wall Street Journal and J Magazine, she is definitely a rising star of standup.
She's shared the stage with many funny, talented comics including Kevin Kataoka, Eugene Mirman, Arj Barker, and Rob Cantrell. She regularly performs at Cobb's Comedy Club and the Punchline in San Francisco and has also performed at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles, Ha Comedy Club in New York, and the Comedy Underground in Seattle.

down jacket one moment, and stunning in
fish-net stockings in the next. She never
brings people down. She always has the
craziest drawings that she shows me and for
awhile, sent me emails showing me the
differences of Kant and Descartes. And, most
importantly, she sets her goals and commits
to them (in San Francisco too!). However, I
refuse to call her Dattner, like she's from a
70's cop show. She'll always be Alicia.
hipster women were trying to
"choreograph" dance moves to a
Michael Jackson song, as such
women are prone to doing. Well,
she cold busted this stone dope
routine all by herself that shut them
the fuck down. They are agog and
she's like "Yeah, I came up with that
in 6th grade." That is why everyone
should want to be her friend forever.
fantabulous dancer I have ever seen (it
is not important that I was on drugs
when I saw this). She is like aerobics
meets mime meets ninja meets dancebot
craziness!!! Not to mention that she
helped me find all my long lost pals.
Damn, is this girl swell, or what?
gift in early September of 2001, and I
set it in a corner, never imagining
it'd be of any use. Now I can't
imagine life without one: all the
hugging and the cuteness and it peels
potatoes in a breeze! Thanks DattCo,
you made life as an unwed, unemployed
mother that much easier.
the interweb. She's like a superhero in
real life. Talented actress, comic,
singer, all that good crap.
She's foxy and if i were about 30 years
younger, i'd date her.
She's a really good friend, and always
does what she says she'll do, which is
quite rare in this world.
she makes neat movies.
when i met her i thought she was on
drugs, but nope. She's just wierd.
meow!
