      • About Me:

Imagine a box. Many people live inside that box. They get
up in the morning, go to work, get off, go for drinks, go
home, feed the cat, go to sleep, start over.

Other people live outside the box. They get up when they
want, make some art, do some dumpstering, wander into their
swing-shift job, struggle to make ends meet, live in the
kinds of places that have 'Cats - Slugs' grafittied all
        over the stairwell.

I live on the edge of the box. I used to think I was living
in boundary conditions due to a fundamental lack of
decision about which way to go with my life, but now I
realize I need the tweener life to get enough stimulation.

      • Who I Want to Meet:

Anyone who is what they are 100% or more gets my respect.
Don't be waiting for life. Do look for cheap alternatives.
Don't expect me to respect the money you spend. Someone who
thinks it's a treat to actually buy premade food. Chose the
free party over the expensive show. Shout along with songs.
Burn CDs. Browse your friend's video collection. Make art
with found objects. Search for objects to make art with.

Knock me on my ass. Literally or Figuratively, your choice.

Love your neighbor, but tell him that his breath stinks.

      • My man here not only subverts the
dominant paradigm, he cuts the useful
bits off of it with powertools and then
glues them onto something else to
        make "functional art" that does
something cool and dangerous. Did you
ever wish that your high school teacher
had the cajones to rock a mohawk? Viva
el Benjamin! Ladies and gents, we are
very fortunate to have boy wonder here
working with the Forces of Light.
Before I met him at UW, I had heard
legends of this fellow (albeit legends
concerning his various alises and alter-
egos, so I didn't know who he was when
we met). Let me tell you, the truth was
and is stranger and much more
        entertaining than
        fiction.................................
        ........................................
        ........................................
        ................. Let me conclude this
testimonial by saying that very few
people who live lives as crazy (good-
crazy, I think) as Ben's seems to be
have the eloquence and insight to
explain the lessons that they are
        constantly drawing from the hurly-burly-
        but Ben does!
