things that make everyone laugh, but
instead of thinking he's a dork, they
think, "Hey, he's funny, he must be
cool." But I knew Derek before he was
cool, before he was Big D, or this new
Terry person. I knew him when he drove
around my blue jalopy oldsmobile and
locked the keys in the car with the
engine running. I laughed then, I
still laugh at the thought now, and it
makes me ask, "When's my cool friend

little group of friends isn't complete

Nowadays Derek goes by such names
as 'Terry Stevenson', 'The Plumber',
and 'The Wrench'. I can tell you
this, there's nothing better than
hearing Terry's voice every morning at
5:30am when he wakes me up.
