About Me:
Wuz up Friendsters! A little about me... grew up the son of a park ranger in West Virginia, lived in a state forest until I was 15. Product of a rural rearin' and a lust for urban culture mixed with attempts at passion and humor. I'm interested in wildlife and social issues, which to me are inherently the same. I've been around the block a couple of times, having lived in Australia, Ireland and various parts of the East Coast. Now I'm back in school trying to figure out how the hell we're supposed to make positive social change in what seems to be an increasingly f$cked up world.

Who I Want to Meet:
Just moved to Syracuse, and so always looking to meet new people, particularly grad students who are NOT in Maxwell. :)
Looking to meet rad people who would bring balance and good times to my life. Particularly those who see themselves working to make the world a better place.

(he's just a great guy....really)
who contacted me through Friendster,
completely out of the blue, thus
successfully used the functionality of
this interesting online social
experiment. At first I wasn't sure how
to take it--Meeting with someone from
online to trying and get them a job
(paid or unpaid) at National
Geographic. After his first day here,
people in his division asked how we
were acquainted, and my answer
was "mutual friends." Following that I
heard "he's a wonderful addition to our
group, and we were wondering where you
found him!" Michael is also a
hilarious guy to talk to, and I really
do wish I had more opportunities to
party with him before he leaves DC (as
do most of the good people in this
town). Well done lad, and toast a
Guiness to me while you're in Ireland!
laugh, especially at the flash of flesh
and wrinkles. Honestly, I am a better
person for knowing Michael.
Project Democracy. When you're in New York, come
visit Liz and I!
great testimonials is a hard act to
follow. Michael is... well, simply
put, a great guy. He cares about the
issues - and from this activist, its a
welcome addition to DC. Though he may
be busy saving the world/protecting
animals and the environment/helping
direct people at the mall, he still
makes time to stay in touch with his
friends.. now that's classy.
