He's quick, and funny, and gregarious.
He's also extremely forthright. You can
count on him to remain true to his
convictions, and loyal to his friends.

about how damn rad he is (I concur with
the opinions below), but I'd like to
add one more thing: Rocky smells good.
reckoned with: a man with an opinion, a
sick record collection, and a sexy
girlfriend. What could be deadlier??

veggie burritos...
Rocky has been consulted on all of my
important technology purchases and he
introduced me to Invader Zim. He always
gives good advice, on tech stuff as well as
life, and often over cups of tea and yummy
finger sandwiches. It never matters how long
it's been since we last hung out, we always
talk as if we had seen each other just
yesterday. I've ridden around SF on a
carpeted motorscooter with him. My favorite
memory of Rocky is when I unintentionally
left my leather jacket with him. After
retrieving it, I'd discovered he'd written notes
and put them in all of the various pockets. I
still have them. Rocky is kind and generous.
I can trust him with all my secrets. He's a
balancing force in my world. And yes, he
does know everyone.
in 1987 that Rocky dropped a ten pound
barbell off our second story deck in
Santa Cruz? Or when he taught me how
to party like the Merry Pranksters? I
better not. Best to say that Rocky was
the punctuation mark of my riotous
high school years when he cut the path
of a free spirit at a school that some
called the "Yuppie Factory". He showed
me it was not only a possible path,
but an irresistable one. We played in
a kooky band together, one with a horn
section that danced in circles, and
played many unforgettable gigs. But
I'd have to say that the Donut
Festival was the stand-out performance
(I think we were shot at). Rocky is a
fiery one, and we slapped each other
around plenty during those years (he
had this James Brown obsession for
awhile and wanted to turn the band
into a soul revival act...enough
said). Today, he is truly a living
legend.
camping together in big sur and we both
wanted something from the lil
grocer....so i hopped in his car and he
took me to the store.....we got ice
cream and flirted with the park ranger
chick.....ever since that day, i have
adored rocky....people smash him for
being real, but i am frankly in love
with this quality about him.....he gives
no bull and he takes no bull....aside
from all this, he is one of my favorite
chill dj's and he knows it.....eye heart
this dood beyond words...
am afraid he is actually the coolest.
Thanks for making me believe that
my stupid questions are not THAT
stupid, and for saving my life by
"clicking here, clicking there" when I
think that there's no hope for me and
machines. I am very happy I know
Rocky, he is always more than ready
to help and super fun to hang out
with! And he always makes my day
with his Brazilian soccer jerseys!
