About Me:
Witty banter with a caffeine buzz.

Even as a writer, I find it hard to sum up who I am in these little online profile boxes. I had deleted what I had written here (years ago at the begining of Friendster) and just threw in the coffe pic. I was surprised that more then one person complained, claiming to like what I had written, and think the gag is too superficial. Frankly, I didn't think people really read these things.
Basically, who I am is whoever I need to be. Not that I am flightly or inconstant, but rather fluid. I tend to fill any container into which I am poured, and can rise to meet the occasion.
For work, I analyze, write, produce, and organize for UCSF. I have a Master's degree in Library and Information Science, with a bent towards digital A/V archiving. On the side, I write, design and pull metaphorical rabbits out of hats.
For fun, I love music, making interesting compilations, graphic design, entertaining, and c/w dancing.
I am the go-to guy for my friends--for solving problems, witty banter, entertaining diversion, quiet compassion, and all matters of trivia. I am the strong shoulder for toil or for tears.
I am the kind of guy who owns dinner clothes as well as "appropriate attire" for Midnight Mass. I am equally comfortable South of Market or Top of the Mark.

Who I Want to Meet:

Again with the visual gag.
I'm looking to meet people who have pretty much dealt. And they know what that means without an explanation.
While I have often been a fool for the handsome, I fall for the clever. The measure of a man's heart should be larger than his pecs, and the bigger head should be on his shoulders. (Not that hot bodies aren't hot, they just only go so far.)
Clever and kind are oh so sexy. As is fearlessly spontaneous.
My fantasy (boy)friend understands context and can behave appropriately, managing to fit in and stand out at the same time.
