Vocalist/bass guitarist/songwriter Glenn Hughes is a true original. No other rock musician has carved such a distinctive style blending the finest elements of hard rock, soul and funk. That astonishing voice is Hughes' calling card.

Hughes, a native of Cannock, England, absorbed all kinds of influences, including early British hard rock, the Beatles and, most importantly, American soul and R&B.

Glenn's new solo album First Underground Nuclear Kitchen is the latest chapter in the musical evolution of "The Voice of Rock." Joining him once again is Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer, Chad Smith, new comer guitarist, Luis Carlos Maldonado and also his long-standing musical partner, JJ Marsh, on guitar, along with George Nastos (guitar), Anders Olinder (keys) and Ed Roth (keys).
