Global Warming is the term used to describe a gradual
increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and
its oceans, a change that is believed to be permanently
changing the Earth’s climate forever.
Global Warming is effecting us all. There are many things that causes Global Warming.
[o1] Loss Of Forests
[o2] Consumed Energy
[o3] WildLife Extiction
[o4] Water Pollution
[o5] Air Pollution
[o6] Plastic Things
Imagine these things we did to our environment.
Every single thing we do causes Global Warming.
As young as we are right now and we're both only 12, we like to inform you that the
EARTH`S AT STAKE!
We are not hopeless. We can do something to change everything.
And here`s how.
[o1] RECYCLE.
--Find out what else you can recycle like, old magazines, plastic bottles, newspapers, etc.
[o2] PLASTIC? IT`S A NO NO.
--When you burn plastics, they make the ozone layer thinner and that causes the too much heat on earth.
And plastics are very hard to decompose, it takes hundreds of years to decompose them.
[o3] SAVE MORE WATER!
--Turn Off the water while brushing your teeth. Also limit the time in taking shower; you use five to 10 gallons of water each minute!
[o4] CONSERVE ENERGY.
--Use ENERGY-EFFICIENT lightbulbs at home. Unplug your computer,cellphone chargers,
and stereo when they are not in use.
[o5] SENDING TEXT MESSAGES?
--Your computer uses more than 30 times the electricity of your cellphone to transmit each e-mail.
[o6] TOILET PAPERS!
--Buy toilet paper made from 100% recycled paper. If every household traded a regular 12-roll pack for environmentally friendly
one, five million trees a year would be saved.
[o7] ATM RECEIPTS.
--If everyone decided to forgo them for a year, that would save enough paper to circle the equator 15 times.
[o8] PAPER RECYCLING @ SCHOOL.
--Most schools recycle aluminum cans, but half the paper from assignments and tets is thrown
in the trash. Print out drafts on scratch paper and switch your printer to its eco-friendly setting.
[o9] KITCHEN HABITS!
--Use reusable containers for food storage instead of wrapping food in foil or plastic wrap. You can also use unbleached coffee filters, which does not produce the deadly toxin dioxin in its manufacturing. Use rags to wipe up spills instead of paper towels, and use biodegradable wax paper and bags.
[1o] CAR TIRES.
--Every 2 weeks, Americans wear out nearly 50 million pounds of rubber off their tires. This is enough rubber to manufacture 3 and a quarter million new tires from scratch! To help prevent this,
you can inflate your tires well. This preserves the life of the tires and saves gas, which ultimately saves money.
[11] CHLOROFLUOROCARBONS!
--ChloroFluoroCarbons/CFCS destroy the ozone layer, which protects us from harmful UV rays.
[12] ANIMAL EXTINCTION.
--Buy products that doesn`t concern with animals; like Animal Coats, etc.
[13] STYROPHORE
--Food chain stores should be aware of their usage of styrophore. It damages the ozone layer too.
[15] MELTING ICE CAPS & MELTING GLACIERS
--Because of the sun's ultraviolet rays, the ice caps and glaciers will melt, causing lots of damage to geographical surfaces. In some parts of the Earth, some places on the map might disappear because there are plenty of water because of melting ice caps.
[16] OUR HEALTH
--The UV or Ultraviolet rays of the sun damage our health, it causes SKIN CANCER. So, who knows? Maybe in the next few years, people will suffer because of skin cancer.
