About Me:
I'm an explorer at heart, of walks of life: media, marketing and technology; an explorer of cultures: North America, Europe and Southeast Asia; an explorer of inner realms: chi, meditation and yoga.
My mosaic life and 20-year Information Technology practice has included systems development/integration, marketing and sales, but also has encompassed facets of entertainment related activities, global travel, cultural exploration and personal discovery.
All the while, I've experienced many setbacks, and most "enlightening" were dysfunctional family life, racial prejudice, life threatening circumstances/accidents, business failures and economic volatility such as the 2001 Internet industry collapse, and the SARS virus in Toronto.
But more on the entertainment facets, my first foray into the media world was a Super 8 film that I made in middle school (12 years old), a theme film called The Circle. To this day, it seems to have a grainy timelessness. Another facet was acting in TV commercials for General Motors and Proctor and Gamble, and an industrial film for Nissan. Still another facet, was UCLA Extension film school, where I studied TV/Film directing, acting and global film marketing. It was there where I wrote and directed my first 7-minute comedy digital film.
I started following my father's footsteps, a family doctor, earning a pre-med degree with a minor in computer science. Wasn't into medicine, so I went into computers, while also discovering my creative side: TV & Film acting, filmmaking/DVD production, and photography.
