Guía Rivera is a cross-cultural phenomenon from the Chicago music scene. She is sought-after as a song purist relying on authentic vocal talent.
With a feminine touch, the songwriter draws inspiration from her ever most cherished art form: graffiti. “Graffiti” is now available as a digital single for her growing fan base. Since her crowd-pleasing performance at “A Tribute to ChiRock Nation”, she has gained the support of the hip-hop community. She is helping to shape the hip-hop landscape with “Breaker Ray” of the Universal Zulu Nation and other community leaders.
Rivera represents hip-hop with a crown of dignity. She is now sporting hip-hop gear by Sweet Boutique. This year the fashionista also worked with Mario Tricoci and Helen Yi, both respected companies in the department of style.
Rivera represents the woman, a voice that needs to be heard. For the New Year, her upcoming projects will combine her penchant for fashion with her commitment to elevating the inner strength of women as she promotes her current single “Snake Charmer.”
She entered the music industry when she won Heineken Estrella, the Chicago wide Spanish singing contest sponsored by Heineken and La Kalle 103.1 FM in April of 2005. She later became the first Filipina recording artist to receive national airplay on mainstream Latin radio.

turn to entertainment to chase away the Windy City blues as
unemployment peaked at 9.6% in the United States this year, as bared by
a recent study of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Today event
organizers in Chicago are working hard to keep up the spirits of
Chicago's citizens.
Chris Devins, Executive Producer of Hot Wax
Chicago TV, who has been involved in the entertainment business for
twenty years says "It's only typical that when the economy is down,
entertainment always tends to increase in demand and value." So, while
the stock market looks to China for hope, event promoters in Chicago
call upon a particular Filipina entertainer to dazzle the evening.
Many of you know the secret weapon as Guia Rivera.
Rivera
will walk the red carpet at Divas Ball 2009 on Friday, September 25,
2009 at 7 p.m. Attendees will get a chance to dine with the chanteuse
at Regency Banquet Hall on 5319 W. Diversey Ave in Chicago. Rivera and

sure all the ladies in attendance feel like the divas they are.
Rivera's rise to popularity comes simply from sharing with fans and friends what really goes on inside the music business.
Exactly
two weeks ago, record producer Vince Lawrence invited Guia Rivera to
visit R & B legend R. Kelly's mansion. She decided to ring her
girlfriends Vanessa Hill and Darleen Deocariza to accompany her to R.
Kelly's party. The Japanese lantern fixtures lining R. Kelly's driveway
subtly reveal the King of R & B's affinity for culture. Upon
Rivera's arrival to the Tiki-lit barbecue a la R. Kelly, Vince Lawrence
greeted her and im-mediately introduced Guia Rivera to R. Kelly himself.
"It's
simply a dream," Rivera remarks. "I kept asking myself, am I really
here with my girls in R. Kelly's living room? Then I got more
comfortable at the R. Kelly party. Mister Kelly was a gracious host to
all his guests."
Naturally Rivera tweet-ed her rendezvous with
R. Kelly on her various web pages. This is a day and age in which you
will find internet users Tweet-ing, or using a website called Twitter,
to update everyone in their social network about their lives. To most
people who haven't yet tested the workings on the information
revolution, sending an event invitation on Facebook can be quite
powerful in respect to advertising via traditional media such as
printed event flyers or buying air time on television or radio. For
example, last weekend four different promoters were bidding for her
birthday event. Guia Rivera decided to hold her official birthday
celebration which included a featured performance for deejay promotions
company Club Mix at a nightclub venue in Schaumburg. Her Facebook event
invitation reached Andre Numa, a guest who drove all the way from
Michigan to Illinois to partake in the festivities with Guia Rivera and
her close circle in the VIP. As soon as DJ Mike B of Club Mix announced
her performance, club goers were already dancing to her song "Snake
Charmer (Hot Mix Hans Remix)."
It was deejay Hot Mix Hans who
surprised her in July by spinning the club remix that he created for
her popular song "Snake Charmer" at the Z Party at the Intercontinental
O'Hare. Event organizer Jason de la Cruz from the 3Doves Foundation
invited her as a special guest for their charity benefit to raise money
for orphanages in the Philippines.
