        VISUAL KEI IS NOT EMO!

EMO - (pronounced iːmo) (short for "emotional hardcore") is a genre of music that originated from hardcore punk and later adopted pop punk influences when it became mainstream in the United States.

VISUAL-KEI - (ヴィジュアル系 vijuaru kei) refers to a movement among Japanese musicians. This usually involves striking make-up, unusual hair styles and elaborate costumes and flamboyant looks.

Visual kei refers to a music genre, or to a sub-genre of J-rock with its own particular sound, related to glam-rock, punk and metal.

        ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JFAD (read as J-FAD) – is a 4-piece all girl Visual-kei band. The band name came from the first letter of each of the members' first name.

The band was formed in the mid 2008 by drummer Jirou, guitarist Akira and guitarist Daisuke (formerly members of YUKI*HANA). The 3 decided to continue even without a bassist, using the band name "HANABI". Soon after a couple of months, Feitan (formerly Psycho Witches) decided to join the 3 and changed the band name “HANABI” to “JFAD”.

In 2009, due to some personal problems, Daisuke left the band and was replaced by Daichi.
