About Me:
My name is John. I play the guitar, and sometimes I play the fool. Since age 8 or so, I've wanted to make the world a more compassionate, just, and humane place. So, after dragging my feet for many years, I became a lawyer (?)
After a couple of lengthy stays on a futon in Brooklyn (thanks Erik!), I finally moved to New York City in the spring of 2007. My plan is to stay here for several years. I believe am assimilating nicely. I know my way around Manhattan pretty well, at least above Houston street, though I don't yet know the other boroughs so well. Who wants to show me Jackson Heights?
I hardly know anyone in NYC; it would be great if I could meet some new people....
-
Who I Want to Meet:
Lefty, consciousness-raising artists and activists. People who will challenge, teach, and/or inspire me. I think that's what I came here to find.
Also, I'd be thrilled to meet a guy who is kind, thoughtful, authentic, inquisitive, creative, and fairly comfortable in his own skin. It would be great if this guy enjoyed holding my hand in parks and movie theaters and also had a smile that could routinely make my heart skip a beat or two.
Lastly, I'd love to meet that fellow who stood in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square. If I learned Chinese, would he teach me to be brave?

be annoyed. he's creative, funny, beautiful (in a
boy way), addicted to technology and diet soda
(must be consumed together), smart,
freakishly musically talented--a constantly
delightful and amusing friend. I met John
waiting in line for Phantom Menace tickets, but
you shouldn't hold that against either of us.
There isn't a lot to do on a tuesday night in
Durham--and anyway no one knew ahead of
time how much it would blow. My life has not
been the same since, and I mean that in a
good way. John is the kindest, most loving
person and the only person I can say with utter
conviction has NOT A SINGLE mean bone in his
body. Which doesn't mean he can't deliver a
scathing tirade against Bush, gas-guzzling
SUVs, and the radical right. he also has
exquisite taste in music. mmmm, char-burger.
Packaged well but slow payments. Great
to work with. Would recommend to all.
Get John as your friend today.
AAAAA+++++++ No Bull.
