meet and say "hey, I feel like I've
known you all my life!"...and then she
opens her place to you when you come to
visit and then you say "hey, I feel
like you are a true friend", and then
she says something with her quick wit
and cat-like cunningness to get back at
something you said to make fun of her,
and then you say, "hey, how did that
much brain fit into that little
girl?..." For those of you that are
unsure, the above is a compliment.
Alyx is a sweet, smart and pretty
friend. Too bad she's taken guys!
female friends after I first moved to
NoCal -- she's a true gem -- a petite,
utterly charming gal but she will
definitely kick your ass (figuratively
speaking) if she needs to.
grandparents used to force me to read
Chinese characters that I'd never seen
before, and she would make kimchee
sandwiches w/ wonder bread and tell me
to eat them. She is the ULTIMATE drama
queen - but she's so very real and so
honest to herself and everyone around
her. We've laughed and cried together
over the years, and even though I only
see her once in a blue moon, I pray for
her happiness and success and always.

enough to let me crash her birthday

some mean BBQ ribs!
