About Me:
Grew up in DC, moved to SF for college, worked in Kyushu, Japan for almost 2 years before taking a new job in Hong Kong in Aug 06.
I like travel, movies, hiking, machines of all sorts and foreign languages (Mandarin = pretty decent, Japanese = functional, Cantonese = still gao cho!). I've done martial arts in Beijing, cruised in a rat infested ship down the Chang Jiang, hiked volcanos in Kyushu to name a few... but what I most enjoy is meeting people from all around the world.
I try to keep life from being boring without squandering my opportunities. I'm a big believer in having a goal, or at least being on the path to somewhere, even if you don't know exactly where you'll end up. I can't abide people who are running in place and on the fast track to no where.
PS - PLEASE NO RANDOM FRIENDSHIP REQUESTS FROM PEOPLE I NEVER MET WHO LIVE REALLY FAR AWAY, OK? I'M TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE FROM THE FOLLOWING AREAS: PHILIPPINES, INDONESIA, MALAYSIA, ETC. Sorry, but I don't think its going to work out. :-P

for us is a pretty long time. raffi can be
pretty picky about his friends -- you're
either on his good side or bad side right
away. but, if you do fall on his good
side (girls have a much higher chance
of doing so), he'll be a really good friend
that will be there when you need help.
he doesn't drink *ever* and he likes
clubbing, so he's the perfect designated
driver. hehe. fluent in chinese, including
reading and writing (except he speaks
without tones) and well versed in the
chinese martial art known as wushu --
raffi is like a modern day david
carradine. =P
child...err haha.. he's a great friend,
and has always been there with support
and good advice. i'll miss you!
am. He knows the culture better and he
can definitely read/write it better.
All-around fun guy to hang out with.
His fixation with cosplay is pretty
disturbing though.
