Rundgren's chord progressions while
walking around Prospect Park on a cold,
raw, damp day would strike most people
as quite unpleasant, not to mention
insane. Not Eli. The fact that he can
appreciate such an experience as that,
indicates his underlying genius. And
there's always more.
He's going to surpass his idols. It's
already started. He may be the only
person I've ever met who's going to do
that. If you haven't had him over to
play the piano yet, you should. We
had a multitude of lovely afternoons.
guy, but here goes. He's one of the best
people I know: loyal, funny and adorable, like a
supra-intelligent dog that plays piano.
Sometimes I think Eli is the reincarnation of
Hector Berlioz, sent back to save the human
race. For this relief, much thanks.
acting class to write about him. That
means that I'm the only one who had
the extreme pleasure of watching
him expose and shake his naked
body onstage, repeatedly - oh, wait,
no it doesn't.
Anyway, Eli is sweet sweet. And
talented talented. And I thank him for
being my Friend.
Eli because I'm sick of him bothering
me about getting on Friendster. His
songs are beautiful. His person is
beautifuller. Sometimes I listen to his
music in my car and cry and people in
other cars become alarmed. Sometimes he
gives me greater joy than I can handle
in any given moment. Sometimes all 10
of my missed calls are Eli. Sometimes
we get high, listen to concept albums
and talk about vagina (also eat food).
He's a person whose funeral I will
attend (or vice versa).
song on the piano? Or just have him
write a song and that will then become
your new favorite song. I'M SERIOUS.
Eli is so funny and nice and cool and
smart and sometimes serious and then
funny and nice and cool and smart
again. and he writes the BEST music.
music i want to sing FOREVER. oh my
god... and he taught me the Mr.
Belvedere theme song. i really love
that song. i am SERIOUS. and he'll play
it on the piano for me whenever i
want. he's just so great. i am very
glad he is my friend.
is magical. You can witness it in his
music that pours out of him like
delicious song drink. He can whip up
a song faster than you can finish
reading those reviews of him in the
future that are sure to be glowing.
It should also be said that a good
deal of the witty, esoteric
observations that make their way out
of Eli's brain are cherished and
bronzed and recycled again and
again by those lucky enough to catch
them. Just giving the due credit to a
very deserving magician.
I found out anything new in Eli's life.
Eli was one of those spart kids thatt
he smart kids were intimidated by. You
know afraid to say anything that might
touch into his area of expertise for
fear of a sound thumping. Man, the days
at Nicks with Eli throwing his coffee
cup around with nervous energy will
always be one of those fine memories of
Highschool days. And to think, Eli was
staright edge back then! Good to know
you're still kicking around, old son.
