Though I can make a good impression on acquaintances when I care to, I'm not a person who makes real friends too quickly or easily. I think this is because I'm not outgoing by nature, so it takes conscious effort for me--but I've learned that it's usually worth the effort, so if you didn't know me well you probably wouldn't guess that. I'm extremely loyal to the friends that I do make and I expect the same loyalty in return. My close friends know that it takes a lot to shake my trust in my friends, but equally that it takes me a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.

I've already met the love of my life (that would be one Eric Shang), but I'm always interested in meeting more people who enjoy the same things I do, especially running and swimming. Also, if you are or know someone in the Rochester, NY area, feel free to offer me grad school advice. :-)
